Anna Maltz | Knotted Steek
Domingo, 17 de noviembre
Horario: 13 - 16h
Lugar: Aula Lino
Tallerista: Anna Maltz

Anna Maltz | Knotted Steek
Sunday, November 17
Time: 13 - 16h
Place: Linen classroom
Workshop facilitator: Anna Maltz
Language: English
Knotted steek is a variation of the Steek, perfect to achieve perfect finishes . This technique, unlike other types of steek, lets you maintain the elasticity of your garment. In crochet, seams and the use of tape to hold the stitches are less flexible than a woven piece. Even though it requires a little bit more time, it's worth it. With the knotted steek, you can obtain a very subtle finish, without hardly any volume. Also, you do not need to apply it on the edges.
Some examples are Anna Maltz’s designs, like the Shantay Cardigan, the Ess Shawl or the Ruperto Scarf from her book Marlisle.
In this workshop, you will learn how to apply the steek: to mount and dismount stitches, to measure the area, to assure and cut the stitches or to use it to finish your projects.
Anna Maltz will show you the design possibilities that this technique has to offer: from creating borders with fringes to shawls and scarfs knitted in round. What a discovery.
Duration: 3 hours
Language: English
Level: Intermediate / Advanced
