Tejer calcetines con la técnica del colorwork con agujas pequeñas puede resultar difícil al principio, pero es muy gratificante y se obtienen resultados muy bonitos. Son muy divertidos y rápidos de tejer. El objetivo de este taller es darte la confianza necesaria para enfrentarte a cualquier patrón de calcetín usando el colorwork. Se trabajará la sección de colorwork del popular patrón de calcetines «Magical Mycelium».

Aprenderás varias técnicas y Charlotte te mostrará las mejores combinaciones de colores para tejer en colorwork. Revisará las técnicas con el estilo inglés y el continental. Te explicará cómo tejer 3 colores en una vuelta, controlar las hebras flotantes y la tension para que los calcetines queden bien, cómo adaptar la caña de los calcetines largos, la corrección de errores. Te dará trucos y consejos personales para tejer tus propios diseños de calcetines con colorwork, con la ayuda de muestras. Además, hará una demostración de cómo bordar detalles con punto duplicado y cómo econder los cabos mientras tejes.

Knitting socks using the colourwork technique with small needles can be difficult at first, but it is very rewarding and produces beautiful results. They are great fun and quick to knit. The goal of this workshop is to give you the confidence to tackle any sock pattern using colourwork. You will work the colourwork section of the popular sock pattern ‘Magical Mycelium’.

You will learn various techniques and Charlotte will show you the best colour combinations to knit in colourwork. She will review the techniques with the English and continental style. She will explain how to knit 3 colours in one row, learn more about gauge and tension to get your socks to fit well, long floats management, fixing mistakes and Charlotte’s own personal tips and tricks for knitting her own colourwork sock designs (many which she will bring with her. I will also be demonstrating how to duplicate stitch details too and how to weave in ends with colourwork.
