Sábado, 18 de noviembre

Horario: 9 - 12 h CEST

Lugar: Aula Alpaca

Tallerista: James Nolan Watts

Idioma: Inglés

Duración: 3 horas

Nivel: Todos los niveles

Plazas: 20

Time: 9 - 12 h CEST

Workshop facilitator: James Nolan Watts

Language: English

Duration: 3 hours

Whatever your level, modular knitting techniques are simple enough for beginners and interesting enough for knitters of all levels.

In this workshop, you will learn the techniques of James' modular designs (such as Mystic Square, Sun Gazer and Beads of Joy). The main techniques used in this method are as simple as knitting, purl knitting, picking up stitches and making basic decreases. However, learning it opens up a whole world of unlimited creative potential.

Whether you want to learn this technique to knit a modular pattern or have the confidence to imagine and execute original modular designs, you will have fun and leave feeling more artistically accomplished.

Previous knowledge: Basic knitting knowledge is required: cast on, knit and purl, assembling and closing stitches with circular needles.

Required material:

Sport to worsted weight wool in gradient colors or about 5 different plain colors.

4.5 mm / US 7 knitting needles or any other size needed to obtain a gauge of 16 stitches x 24 rows = 10 cm (4")

Ring stitch markers

Scissors to cut the yarn.

Homework: Check the gauge and find a yarn and needle combination that works for you. Bring a small sample of jersey knitting 12 stitches wide and 20 rows long to class,

Included material: Sponsor's gift
