Louis te enseñará a elegir la mejor técnica para tejer sombreros: Long Tail vs German Twist Cast on, cómo decidir su ajuste entre entallado y holgado, así como cuántos puntos tejer. Descubrirás las ventajas de tejer con hilo elástico. Cómo realizar el borde de rayas usando varios colores, el canalé 1x1 frente al 2x2.

Sabrás cómo decidir la construcción del cuerpo, seleccionar los puntos adecuados para el mismo y cómo determinar qué puntadas combinan bien. Louis te enseñará a trasladar las instrucciones de punto de tejer en plano a tejer en redondo y determinar los centímetros en el cuerpo. También se trabajarán diferentes aspectos de la corona y las terminaciones, usando unas sencillas matemáticas para determinar sus disminuciones y descubriendo cómo tejemos las vueltas de disminución.

En esta clase, también aprenderás cómo combinar diferentes fibras y pesos para crear gorros especiales, cómo añadir pompones y parches e incluso qué hacer cuando el ala se estira demasiado.

Conocimientos previos: Se requieren conocimientos básicos de punto: tejer del derecho y revés, montar y cerrar puntos con agujas circulares.

Learn how to design your own hat using simple templates and techniques.

Louis will teach you how to choose the best technique for knitting hats: Long Tail vs German Twist Cast on, how to decide its fit between fitted and loose, as well as how many knitting stitches to knit. You will discover the advantages of knitting with stretch yarn. How to make striped edging using various colors, 1x1 ribbing vs. 2x2 ribbing.

You will know how to decide on the body construction, select the right stitches for the body and how to determine which stitches go well together. Louis will teach you how to transfer knitting instructions from knitting flat to knitting in the round and determine inches on the body. We will also work different aspects of the crown and ends, using some simple math to determine your decreases and discovering how we knit decrease rounds.

In this class, you will also learn how to combine different fibers and weights to create special hats, how to add pompoms and patches, and even what to do when the brim stretches too much.

Previous knowledge: Basic knitting knowledge is required: cast on, knit and purl, assembling and closing stitches with circular needles
