¡Únete a la pandilla Penguono y podrás tejer con Stephen West!

Para aprovechar el taller al máximo, Stephen ha escogido una versión de la chaqueta Penguono en tamaño mini.  Unos meses antes de la celebración de Barcelona Knits, recibirás las instrucciones necesarias para tejer la primera sección, en tu casa y a tu ritmo. En el taller, Stephen te enseñará a hacer punto por punto las siguientes secciones y aprenderás las técnicas de construcción del welt y el tejido modular. Al ser una chaqueta de colores creada con numerosas lanas tejidas a la vez, podrás que experimentar con la mezcla de diferentes pesos y grosores de hilo. 

Tejer el formato mini de Penguono es una gran oportunidad para probar colores y fibras antes de lanzarte con la versión de adulto. En tres horas, aprenderás lo necesario para tejer tantas chaquetas Penguono como quieras para ti y para tus amigos. ¡Déjate inspirar por Stephen West!

Deberes: Recibirás instrucciones para tejer la primera sección del patrón Penguono

Material incluido: 25g de hilo Pinta (Fingering) y 25g de hilo Forest (Sport). Los asistentes deben traer un surtido de restos de hilos de grosores, colores y texturas variadas

Material necesario: Agujas circulares entre 5 y 6.5mm, cable de 100cm. Los asistentes deben traer un surtido de restos de hilos con grosores, colores y texturas variadas como mohair, alpaca, hilo metalizado o fantasia para mezclar y elevar tu Penguono a otro nivel.

Los hilos incluidos en el taller son de colores surtidos proporcionados por el patrocinador. Si tienes alguna preferencia, puedes traer tus propias lanas para la clase.

Te recomendamos que lleves un surtido de agujas y tus accesorios habituales para tejer, por si precisas ajustar la tensión durante el taller. 

Recuerda que la entrada al taller te permite el acceso a Barcelona Knits durante el día en que se imparte dicho taller.

Join the Penguono crew and you will be able to knit with Stephen West! And to be able to take full advantage of this workshop, Stephen has chosen a baby-sized version of the Penguono jacket.

A few months before Barcelona Knits, you will receive the necessary instructions to knit the first section at your own pace. In the workshop, Stephen will teach you how to knit the next sections stitch by stitch and you will also learn the welt construction technique and the modular cloth.

Because it is a colorful jacket made with a lot of different wool knitted at the same time, you will be able to experience the mixture of different weights and widths of the yarns.

To knit the baby format of Penguono is a great opportunity to try colors and fibres before going on to the adult version. In three hours, you will learn all that is necessary to knit as many Penguono jackets as you want for you and all your friends. Let Stephen West inspire you!

Required knowledge: Be familiarized in knitting with circular needles

Homework: Instructions for the first section will be sent for you to complete prior to attending the workshop.

Included material: 25g of Pinta yarn (Fingering) and 25g of Forest yarn (Sport). Students should bring assorted leftover yarns in different yarn weights, colors and textures.

Required material: Circular needles between 5 and 6.5 mm, cable 100cm length. Asistents must bring a variety of yarn weights from fingering weight to bulky weight since we will be mixing strands together. Wool yarns recommended, but please bring other textures like mohair, alpaca, metallic/sparkly, and funky novelty yarns to take your Penguono to the next level

We recommend you bring your regular knitting accessories and an assortment of needles, in case you need to adjust gauge during the class.
